Can't find something...RANT

So I decided to update my spreadsheet for my hockey cards when I noticed 3 cards were showing as incoming on my spreadsheet. I haven't updated it in over a month as I haven't very active with it. Anyways, I can't find these fucking cards anywhere. I checked all my hockey card boxes, my dresser, etc and nadda. I won the 3 cards on Ebay and I know I received them since I left positive feedback and even have scans on my computer of the cards.

Weren't exactly cheap cards either, the 3 of them are about $125 combined and are hard as hell to find.

FUCK!!!!!!!!

Man, that sucks. I used to collect basketball cards and remember from time to time not being able to remember where I put valuable ones. Hope you find them.

i used to collect cards like mad until the industry went away from collecting and became purely a business. left people like me, who liked it for the fun of it (collecting fav players/teams,etc), out. havent checked in awhile but a few years ago it was like 12 bucks for a pack of 3 cards hoping to find that 1 in 10000 rare insert autographed jersey limited edition of some random player. every card is now something unique or has some stupid gimmic.

you cant afford to just collect anymore it seems. has it changed at all int he last 5 years?

anyways, i still have a ton of my cards from growing up in the 80s/90s sitting in my closet. some were pretty good, doubt they are worth anything now because they have to be perfect condition and seriously rare or else they are garbage.

I've got shoeboxes full of football and baseball cards from the late 60's through the late 70's. Some are probably worth some money, most probably aren't. That had nothing to do with the fun of acquiring them. Maybe some day I'll try to figure out which are which.

That's pretty much what drove me out of collecting cards. The packs became too expensive, the sets became impossible to complete....it just wasn't fun anymore.

It seems that card collecting has something for everybody nowadays.

Kids/Minor collectors - $1-$5 packs with about 6-8 cards

Mid-range collectors - $6-$20 packs with about 5 cards (better odds to pull something high end)

High range collectors - $20-$50 packs

Insane Mofo collectors - $100-$500 packs

Yes, you can buy ONE pack of cards for $500 bucks, If you pull a Lebron, you will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Hell, somebody pulled a Black Diamond Onyx Sidney Crosby out of a Black Diamond pack for $4.99 and flipped it for 9k

For myself, I am working on 3 sets, 2 low-mid range and 1 high end set. I collect certain players and try to procure every single hockey card they have produced. Not 1000 copies of one card but just one of each. It's a fun challenge and they are just common players that most people haven't heard of. It makes it more tough since when people open packs, those cards usually head straight for the common boxes. I am still looking for cards of those players that I haven't even seen before.

I am starting to dabble in game used jerseys now...now that can get pricey

And I still haven't found those damn cards.

Do you have a wife? Mine always throws out my cool stuff.

Oh wait. You are actually allowed to spend money on these cards. You obviously don't have a wife.

It's always in the last place you look - because, really, if you found it, why would you keep looking for it in another place?

WOO HOO, I found all 3 cards. Was on my way to work today and was changing a cd in my car. Looked in the console/arm rest and there they were. Not sure why or how they got in there, but the important thing is, THEY ARE FOUND

Which ones were they? Just curious. I bought a box of hockey cards at a tournament when I was a kid, I need to see if I can find those and see if there are any good ones.

Now go and find whoever it is that will give you the $125 you say they are worth and then spend the money on something actually valuable...like strippers.
