Photos from New York... I did promise... (updated w/more pix)

Hi all.

I was last posting here towards the back end of last year, and especially in a few threads about people visiting New York. I said then that I'd upload my photos and let everyone have a look, so here I am...

Here's a few to start with from my trip November 24-27...

Nice pics, you managed to get in a lot of known spots.

No Central Park?

The 2nd one is an awesome shot. Maybe framed a bit weird, but great pics.

Pix 9, 10 and 11 are Central Park. I have a few more to add, but didn't really snap that many of the Park.

Arrgh! Now I'll have to go back and take some more

Managed to cram a lot into a short space of time. So much walking! I love the place. Will add some more when I've resized and uploaded.

I know - it's slightly out. If anyone can skew it or do something techy to make it look better, let me know, as I'd love to fix the original.

Thanks.

Grand Central looks a lot more elegant when I'm not blearily stumbling through the crowds at 8:55AM.

Were you here during the freakish warm-up?

When I was there about 5 years ago, I had about a week to look around the city. I was never in a rush to do anything, and one of the things I found interesting about Grand Central was how beautiful and amazing the entire thing was--yet it was more useful than anything else to most of the people that were walking around.

It was like a museum to me, but something else to the NYC citizens...like maybe a bathroom or a kitchen. A necessity.

I love the pics, and really want to go back for a visit asap.

These were shot on a Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom - nothing major... however I am just about to purchase a Canon 5D and set up to the next level.

It used to be an even better bargian, was 50 cents for something like 20 years. And it's open 24 hours, can't beat that. During high school there were many times I remember coming out of the subway at 3am, drunk as shit, and yay, I could get a couple of good hor dogs if I had one buck left in my pocket.

It was also great for all the homeless guys, they only needed to score a couple of quarters and they could get a dog.

Nice pics. It's been a couple years since I was back there, but I had a great time. Sadly, that was before I had a camera, so I don't really have much to remember it by.

I'd love to go back to NYC soon.

I really liked the ones you showed.

Thanks for that, and to everyone who's commented on them. I'll upload some more later this week when I get an hour or so.

Check back
