I just got another job rejection letter today...

Got another rejection letter today, this one from Little Rock, the othe was from Tomah, Wisconsin and the other one was from a university. I am trying to get a job out of state and I keep getting sorry. Maybe I should sign up for the Air Force and go in as an officer before I am to old (32 currently). Who knows, I am still waiting to hear about a position in downtown Detroit, its a federal job that I got a letter telling me I was qualified for something like a G-12 position. Keeping my fingers crossed.

How many positions have you applied for? A few dozen? 60-70-80?

Did you interview for these jobs? If not, be glad you're even hearing back.

By the way, I didn't get any responses from any out-of-state places until I actually picked one and moved there. I found a job pretty quickly after that.

These are in the mental health field. A lot of them are in federal positions. Federal application process is really screwy. They should give you an interview just for getting the application process correct. About 15-20 applications have been sent out and I have heard back from 3.

Keep applying. It is a volume game. Don't give up hope (easier said than done).
