Question about international air travel

This summer, I'm hoping to take my first international trip (Ireland, then England). It looks like I'll be going in mid to late July, which I realize is peak air-fare season, but with my job I don't have much choice. So is there any window of time when it's best buy a ticket to get a cheaper price, or will prices always be about the same since it's peak travel season?

i would start to look for tickets now, but since it's the peak season you are going to pay a lot of money

I went last year and it was only $450 RT.

It's always best to buy as soon as possible, even though last minute deals can pop up.
