How about starting up another monthly DVDtalk poker game?

I looked forward to these poker games every month even though I never came close to winning. How come we stopped? I vote that we start back up again.

oh and they stopped because i got lazy. a key though to setting them up, posting about it about 5 days in advance gets the best attendance.

Boo, I had $50 sitting around in Pokerstars that I was using for these monthly games and I just got around to cashing it out last week since it looked like they were dead.

maybe an email reminder would help some of us remember, did stars ever get those jackets to the winners?

Count me in. My brother won one of the tourneys. He got his jacket, a hat, chewing gum, and a deck of cards from PokerStars.

I won the last one, but didn't get anything, besides everyone's money.

While these things are being planned, can I make a plea for the east coasters who need a little more sleep than others? 10:30 on the east coast is a wee bit late for me. Even an hour or so earlier would be great for me...

Thanks for the nominations, however, I am unable to set up private tournaments. Here is the response I received from PS:

Thank you for your interest in offering private tournaments on
PokerStars.

At this time, the ability to create private tournaments on PokerStars
is being offered as a premium feature only to those players who have
earned more than 2,000 FPP over the lifetime of their account.

You've earned 840 FPP so far (including those you've already spent).
We'd be happy to extend to you this privilege once you've earned the
full 2,000 points.

We hope to hear from you in the near future with a few more FPP
earned. Good luck in our games, and thank you very much for playing
here on PokerStars.

Regards,

Jacob

I emailed them since i've earned enough points.

Moorehed, who's the hookup for the jackets? Do you think we can still get them awarded?

regular "private tournaments" to the PokerStars lobby. Your account
has been updated so that you may now do so..."

I personally hate the site as well. But for a DVDtalk tourney, I would play. Have been meaning to for a year or so.
