Question for Californians or talented news searchers...

I have sadly received word that someone was killed in a traffic accident in the Calabasas, Ca area over New Year's weekend but I've been unable to find anything about it by searching the news on the web.

His name is Gerry Tolman and is a prominent manager in the music business. Does anyone have any local papers for that area that may show any details?
I'm also interested in any information as to where to send memorials.

Thanks.

Try calling the LA Times. Seriously. I had a similar situation years ago when I thought I heard that someone was reported dead in a news story about a drunk driving accident. I called the station and they confirmed it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised that there hasn't been any news on this. I did search the LA Times site with no luck but haven't called them.

I've pretty much been able to confirm that it's accurate and that he apparently lost control on a rain slick road and struck a pole.

I'd really like to know where to send memorials which is difficult without a news article.

Sorry to keep bumping this but I wanted to say that I was able to get the info from a press release that will go out to the media tomorrow.

Thanks.
