Just curious, those who live in cold climates, what are you paying so far?

1)list SQ footage of heated area
2)list type of heat
3)list approx monthly bill

I have a small 1 BR condo, and I'm watching my electric company raise their multiplier rate for the supply each month, its a joke.

1)650 Sq Ft
2)electric
3)$95/November, $126 December.

Heat is included in my rent so I am a happy girl, especially since I live in a city where it's often very cold and the last thing you want is a big surprise on your heating bill. At my old place (5 rooms), I used to pay between $80 - $160 a month for electric.

1) 1800 sq. ft.
2) Gas w/heat pump
3) Around $20.

I must either only have gas cooking and water heating or something is wrong... My electric bills aren't really much higher.

Perhaps I don't have a gas furnace at all.

2)Gas
3)$150 but I'm on a monthly budget plan so I pay the same amount regardless of usage.

1. ~1,000 sq. ft. apartment
2. electric
3. the bill we just got for December was $55, though since we just moved into the place the beginning of the month, the billing cycle was truncated to 21 days or so. So I expect January's bill to be closer to $75.

My husband and I rent an apartment over my grandmothers garage- 600 sq ft. Electric Furnace.

My grandmothers house is 1600 sq ft- gas heat.

Gas: $370
Electric: $303

The temperature is set at 68 degrees. Our rent is based on half of those two utilities and the satellite.

Anyone want to trade?

2500 sqft
Gas (electric bill not included)
$177 for half Nov/half Dec

That's with being incredibly frugal running the heat. The bill could have been much worse, but I still hate it.

I know you only wanna hear from cold climates, but.... It was all shorts and t-shirts here today! I hate cold.

I think I've used my heater maybe 5 times this winter so far. Don't think it put a dent in my electric bill at all.
