I went exactly nowhere, and I'm still there, which is here, which is not to say that DVDTalk is nowhere, but more along the lines of the at-home-in-front-of-the-computer-watching-SNL kind of here.

I had to work until 11pm my time and didn't actually get out until 11:20. All my friends went out of town to celebrate and so did my brother. I ended up going home and sitting on my parents bedroom floor talking to my mom until the ball dropped and then we wewnt and yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR!! out the front door as was tradition when my grandma was alive. My wife and I are split up and she is with her parents in Deadwood, SD. What a pathetic life I lead. Ha,ha. I guess I could have hung out with so secondary friends tonight. Secondary friends are those people you are friendly with but don't hang out with because you like your primary friends so much better.

The highlight of my night is watchinbg Broken Flowers and eating a Rally's Mushroom and Swiss Burger I bought like 8 hours ago and reheated in the microwave.

Happy New Year!!

Doing nothing this year. Playing games online. Probably gonna pop in a DVD in a few minutes.

I rarely celebrate holidays to begin with tho.

I ended up work from 5 p.m. to just before 2 a.m. I work at a restaurant and it was supposed to be really busy. When I got there, we had 242 reservations on the books. By 7 p.m., that number was down to about 190. One of the three dishwashers, not me obviously, got to go home. At 9 p.m., the number was down to about 110-120. About half of the people that didn't show up called in and the other half didn't. At this point, the other dishwasher got to go home. That left me alone to do the dishes by myself. Because of this, a task that normally takes about 60 to 90 minutes took me almost 3 hours. That sucks!

Happy New Year everyone!

I spent New Years sitting on my couch watching a couple of movies (Safety Last and Boyz in the Hood). Does that count as celebrating?

Alone and no one to celebrate the new year with. I normally don't celebrate new year's either. Sucks not to be with someone for the New Year.

I celebrated by kicking my buddies ass in chess and we smoked a celebratory bowl (not that we needed a reson as this was bowl #3). He's passed out on the couch now, not from drinking, cause he's old. I've since started drinking screwdrivers but only cause I'm out of Mountain Dew Happy New Year!

Well, I did go out, and you weren't necessarily missing much if you stayed in.

Then again, I volunteered to stay sober and drive (complete with having to pull over so someone could puke at 3:10 AM), so maybe it was more fun that I think.

I went out to dinner, returned home and watched a movie on TCM. After the movie was over I realized it was 2006 only because Robert Osborne (host on TCM) made mention of it. I honestly forgot. Ha Ha!

Happy New Year!!!

I was at a bar last night that instead of charging a rediculous cover charge on New Years Eve was instead GIVING PEOPLE A DOLLAR to come in to their "Fuck New Years" Party. There was no countdown. In fact, if you had anything that was considered "new years" gear (horns, hats, 2006 glasses... basically anything they were giving out at First Night Boston), you had to leave it in a box on the way in and pick it up on the way out. It was rather interesting. I guess that counts as not celebrating New Years.

I never go out on New Years Eve. It's amateur night. But I did watch the animated corpse of Dick Clark last night on ABC.
