Moneygram and Bidpay?

I am currently have a couple of ads up about the net trying to sell a cell phone I won recently. I have asked for money order or certified cheque as payment. One potential buyer, however, has insisted on using a service like Bidpay or Moneygram (Bidpay, however, goes out of business this week).

Things to take note of:
-This phone is locked. I have informed the buyer of this in a few emails.
-The buyer wishes me to send the phone to Nigeria as a gift
-Buyer only wants to use services such as the two mentioned

I am really new to the online selling game and certainly don't want to get ripped off. Anybody have any information regarding services like Moneygram?

Here are the buyers emails as well:

-hello seller, am intrested to buy your item, So tell me the price for the item plus shipping cost and am going to send it to some one special in nigeria that is working in hospital for a gift ,i will like you get back to me if you agree to sell to me and am going to pay you by bidpay so if you agree to sell to me send your name and address as to make the payment immediatly now. thanks

- Hello,
I got your mail and realise you actually dont no how bidpay
works..let me enligthen you a little bit..bidpay will deliver the
money straight to your hand at your contact address through their
delivery agent. When a payment is made they will make sure they assign
an agent to watch out there is no fraudulent acts between both parties
and this agent is the one that will be delivering the money to the
hand of the sellers while the item will be ship immediately without
any delay.

All you just need to do is give me your full name, contact
address, direct telephone number and your email account..i will need
this for the quick payment and they will deliver the money ASAP.

Do get back to me for quick finalisation of the transaction as i have
already notify back in Nigeria about this and is waiting to recieve
this.

i await your details..

Nice doing business with you.

I say scam. While BidPay is legit it doesn't really work the way he said and as you mention they are going out of business. Maybe I am wrong to feel this way, but I wouldn't have any part of any transaction going to Nigeria.

The site also cautions:
Fraud Advisory and Scam Warning!

Recently, the community has received many fraudulent emails from overseas. Most of these emails are easily identified by spelling and grammatical mistakes. Additionally, these emails generally come from very far away (overseas) and include wanting to over pay for an item. They then ask you to send the balance of the funds to a "local" partner. Please be aware of these attempted scammers and forward any associated email addresses to the Kijiji team.

Thanks guys. I have set a fraud report to the website. Now, being new at all this, what is it that tips you off?

Bidpay is going out of business? Shit, I missed that memo. Is Western Union going to try another type of online payment system, or are they quitting that all together?
