Worst Christmas Gift of 2005

While chatting with a friend about something her mother-in-law got for her and her husband, I thought it would be neat to check ebay for horrible gifts. I found this: Worst Gift Ever. I'll see if I can get a photo of my friend's tacky present from her in-laws--a HUGE poster on lucite board of old movie stars seated like the Last Supper with Marilyn Monroe as Jesus. I still think the soap beats that based on the description.

Anyone else get any stinkers this year?

My skeptic alarm went off too, but I've seen people do some pretty crappy things around Christmas.

In my stocking, I got toothpaste, mints, and deodorant. I guess Santa can smell me all the way from the North Pole.

"Boat Trip" DVD from my step-Dad's new wife. She apparently has no clue about what I like... although a quick look at my 200+ DVD collection could have given her a hint.

To be fair, I have friends who use them for evening skiing, snow-shoeing, cross-country-skiing, and night hikes... so much so, that I've debated getting one, because it's dark here by the end of the work day, so if you want to do anything outdoors after work, it's nice to have hands-free lighting.

You're so just trying to hide your love for spelunking.
