Bear costume at Cavs game

I lost a game of pool and now I have to wear a bear costume to a Cavs game.

Will I be allowed in? I know people dress up crazy for NFL games (they are dressed up supporting the teams) and people dress up for Holidays (Santas, Easter Bunnies, etc) My bear costume doesn't resemble any Cavalier mascot or the Bulls mascot (whom they are playing). Will I have trouble getting in?

I didn't think this was a Sports question, so I put it on "other"...

I think you'll have to just carry your head in.

Maybe you can call ahead and ask them. Your costume might have to go through special "search" procedures.

I lost a pool bet once. Once. A friend and I had to strip to 3 songs in front of 10 women. Alcohol got us through it plus I made $8 in tips

I would have made you go as a baby cow and have to tell anyone that asks you about it, "I'm the mascot for the Cleveland Calves...get it? GET IT????"

{In case city folk don't know, the "L" is silent in "calves" )

Just curious, did someone already have a bear costume lying around? Or do you have to go rent one somewhere?

So many questions...

1) Do you really suck that much at pool, but somehow believe you are much better than you are?

2) Why a bear costume? Why a Cavs game? What the fuck?

3) "Ray Lewis is the type of guy, if he were in a fight with a bear I wouldn't help him, I'd pour honey on him because he likes to fight. That's the type of guy Ray Lewis is." -- Shannon Sharpe

4) You say "my" bear costume as if you own it personally. Do you really own your own bear costume... and if so, why... and also, well, frankly, that's awesome. Kind of like owning your own tuxedo... how many chances do you really get to wear it? If it were me, I'd wear that damn bear costume all the time... to bar mitzvahs, to bachelor parties, to formal teas, and to as many funerals as I possibly could. Especially if I read an obituary about a hunter that died.

5) Do you work for Labatt beer? Because if you're this guy, well, that would explain so many things.

Is the bear going to be wearing a jersey? Because maybe then you could sneak in as the Cavs mascot (altho I'm pretty sure that its not a bear)

I've met Brian Billick a bunch of times, and he has had some great quotes about Ray Lewis....though none of them obviously on the record.

Ha! Good try. Thankfully none of the women thought about documenting the event. But the whole thing made me think that $8 for 13 minutes of work wasn't bad pay

I am very upset at the OP for not replying in his own thread.

DON'T PROMISE THE BEAR COSTUME AND NOT DELIVER THE BEAR COSTUME!

Isn't going to a Cavs game punishment enough?

At least you get to see LeBron play.

seriously. how dare they lose 9 games this year. 17-9 is inexcusable. every team that doesnt have a .700+ winning % should just lock their doors.

Hey guys-

My friend's mom is a sewing genius. She goes to work, sews all day, then sleeps...THAT'S IT. So I asked her jokingly, do you think you could make me a bear suit? She said yeah, as long as I buy the felt. $16 later, I have one.

The game was sold out once I got there. So as part of the bet, I had to scalp the tickets. It is NOT easy negotiating with the scalpers in a bear suit.

After the game was the worst. The gang members in Cleveland were not amused when I was walking back to the car. I was followed by many people. I was called the N word as well by two gang members thinking I was a reindeer (I had no antlers but I was NOT about to disagree with them). It was a miracle that I was not murdered. I will throw some pics of me on here as soon as I get them just to further embarass myself.

Maybe you should've rethought the polar bear costume.

Just because they have a winning record doesn't mean they're interesting. The Lakers have a winning record and they're sometimes painful to watch.
