Merry Christmas to me, I blew out both front speakers on my HT set up

We put in a CD with some Christmas music earlier and I immediately noticed and remarked to my wife..."that doesn't sound right".
Took the front off the left speaker and saw that the woofer was blown. Figured I better check the right; blown also.
Ha! But I am prepared for just such an emergency! I went up to the attic to fetch the extra pair of old Boston Accoustic bookshelf speakers I have up there. Took out the first...blown. Second was ok but that gives me one good one out of four. Crap.

Looks like I'm going speaker shopping tomorrow.

The one I got.

That does suck about your speakers though. At least now you can justify buying yourself a nice new pair.

I blew a pair of speakers once. Really wished I'd spat instead of swallowed.
