good place that does framing?

I'm looking for a website (or if in Chicago, a store) that does framing of pics and tickets. My dad took me to game two of the world series (i know im a HUGE cub fan, but ive dreamed of just going to a world series game since i was 5) and I want to get his ticket stub and a picture or two of us at the game and get it framed real nice like. any help?

p.s. no i don't want an innocent person accused of a crime they didnt commit (yet)

I would say skip any in store place, and simply do it through americanframe.com It's very reasonable, and it walks you the process of ordering the frame, matte etc.

You can prob save yourself a ton of money and it will look as nice as you want. I use them all the time, for framing vintage rock posters. They have a decent deal of a free matte with a metal frame going on.

You can get a fairly decent size frame, matte, backing board, acrylic etc. for a frame shipped for around 50 bucks. Then simply assemble etc.

It wasn't my fault. He buttered me up by taking me to the Bears/Ravens game first. Next thing I know, it's halftime, I'm a little inebriated, and I'm on the Red Line getting off at Sox/35th. I was rooting for Houston the whole time.

Try a local Hobby Lobby. But they're closed on Sundays. Communists.

You're in Chicago? There must be a hundred framing shops. Have you checked the yellow pages? I'm sure there are tons of mom and pop framing places that would have something similar in their store they could show you.

How close are you to Wrigley Field? There's a frame shop on Broadway and Waveland, in that shopping center with the 7-11 just north of the Walgreens. I've always been satisfied with the work they do.

NO NO NO! NOT HOBBY LOBBY! They will frikken heat mount your tickets and destroy them. Go through your yellowpages and look for a frame shop that is just a frame shop, and not also a craft store or gallery. Call the ones that look likely, and ask them about their framing experience. Look for a PPFA (professional Picture Framers Association) logo in their ads. If there isn't a PPFA logo, they still might be good, but a PPFA logo means they had to take tests on how to do things, and your work will not be done by some part timer who is daydreaming about her boyfriend.

Don't go to Michael's either, they are the MOST EXPENSIVE place to get custom framing done. And you DO want custom framing, if you want to preserve these things.

Micheals will do it, and they often have 50% off coupons.

Check the prices... at 50% off, Michael's prices are about the same as anyone else's regular price. It's a scam.

I was going to help you, but you're a Cub fan who deprived a White Sox fan of going to that magical game 2.

Forget it.

actually, I don't know of any frame shops I could recommend. I have nothing against Cub fans anymore since we won the world series.

Okay, she's done. Now she says, "You're lucky. Diplomas aren't heat-sensitive like tickets. I wouldn't take them a sheepskin, though."

Then you're right by the place I mentioned -- which I've now remembered is a Fast Frames. Like I said, I've always been happy with them. 3700 block of Broadway.

How does it destroy them? I had Hobby Lobby mount and frame a poster and two concert tickets, and it appears to have turned out great.
