Hello from Germany

Hey, my name is Sascha, I am from germany and I just thougt of searching an english forum for one of my biggest hobbies. DVDs! (books and music)
Well actually I am reading here since a shorter time... but I was a little nervous of writing here, because my english is crap. I understand most, but I guess my writing sounds very german... anyways I thought of saying "Hello" to the american friends and talk about our common hobbies. I am also ordering in the USA sometimes, KoQ, 24,... you have the best series ever! Well and Hong Kong I like too.

Well thats all for now...

Sascha

Well, we actually have more than just American representation. There are many English speaking members from Canada, Australia, the UK, etc., as well as folks like you that may have English as a second language.

And don't worry about your English. You are already doing better than Wooderson.

Cheers and welcome to the Forum.

Well if there are any questions about Germany, I am here to answer them. I hope you guys all know that Germany is in Europe and not in Africa. Hehe

But some questions I have: What do you really think about Germany?
And do some of you have German DVD movies?

Oh... You really DON'T know who Wooderson is...

I think many of us own Lola Rennt and the undubbed (not translated to English) version of Das Boot, off the top of my head.

Love Germany and plan on visiting some day. I know my gf wants to go back badly as she misses everything about it.

As far as German movies....just a few. Lola Rennt (German DTS version with no english subs) Seen the movie so many times, I don't need the english subs anymore. Plus, since she speaks German pretty well still, I have my translator.

As have Der Undertang...haven't watched it yet however.

If you wanna talk about German movies, check out the international forum here on dvdtalk.

The only German DVD I have is Das Boot (the das boot edition). I love that movie.

I've never been to Germany, but my parents have been there 3 times, and I intend to go someday. From the pictures I've seen it's a beautiful country, and I really want to try as many local beers as I can.

What do you and your friends think about the USA's current forieng policy in Europe? How about in the Middle East? Over here we hear that everyone in Germany hates us.

I loved West Germany when I lived there in the late '80s. My mom just told me the other day that one of our neighbors passed away last week - I was hoping to visit her when I eventually made my way back over on a vacation.

What do I think about Germany? I think they make some very nice cars.

My question about Germany. Currently, what is the most popular American tv show there?

Oh you have more German DVDs then I do have: My absolutly favourite is: "Das Experiment" (engl. the experiment). I hate "Lola rennt" its boring

Well and I am searching for the Comedian Show DVD of the actor of King of Queens Doug Heffernan. Cant found it for less then 100 $.
