Upside Down Christmas tree??

Sheesh... I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it, but then I found this link...

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000BI3Y5O

Is anyone doing this? Have you seen it in person?

Edit Hmm...link doesn't seem to work... can't seem to fix it...just go to www.target.com and type in "upside down" in the search box

Page not found. But I would think that upside down christmas trees would be a symbol of the antichrist.

Saw it on the "news" last night, and they say there will be more room under the christmas tree and the star goes were the tree stand would go.

DO NOT BUY!!!!, November 10, 2005

I think this idea is so ridiculous!! The reason I gave it 1 star is because I couldn't put ZERO! The "traditional" meaning of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus's birth, and by them coming up with this idea, it's totally against the beliefs! What do you do when you're against something, you turn it down (upside down in this case!)
I say we all stand together and not buy this tree, keep the real meaning of Christmas alive!

Apparently it's "an age-old European tradition".

Yep:
Back in the 7th century a monk from Crediton, Devonshire, traveled to Germany to spread the Word of God. Legend has it that he used the triangular shape of the Fir Tree to describe the Holy Trinity of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to the German people. The German people started to revere the Fir Tree as "God's Tree". In the next 5 centuries, the tree became a symbol of Christianity, and was being hung upside-down from the ceiling as a sign of Christianity.

That is awesome. I would bet I could put one up in my local school and just wait for the churches to come on a rampage.

I went to go show this to my wife, and all of the upside-down trees are gone. Was this just a joke put on by Target or someone with access to their database?

I just googled it. Google works better than target.com for pics of the things.

Actually, since I have limited room, I think it's a pretty neat idea.

Your comment would mean a hell of a lot more to me if you made it 4 days ago, when this post was made. Then, the Target search returned several upside down Christmas trees. The OP said in his first post: "Hmm...link doesn't seem to work... can't seem to fix it... just go to www.target.com and type in "upside down" in the search box" Despite that, several people chimed in "your link doesn't work" because they can't read a simple post.

So there.
