In Miami for 3 days....What to do?

I am in Miami until Saturday morning. I have never been here before. Anyone have any "must do" recommendations?

Thanks,
Steak-too

You could find all the places that they used for "Scarface" and take a picture of yourself there.

Depends on the weather:

*south beach during the day(people may or may not be out, depending on temp. The shops and eateries are worth checking out)
*south beach at night (it is worth eating down in the square area, then checking out the beach front and collins and washington ave) If you want a chill place, The Delano is a solid choice.
*little havana (YUMMY food, but no english spoken)
*Ft. Lauderdale downtown (Riverfront...prob 25 min north of Miami) is more of a bar scene. Most all the places have live bands, some have DJs. I prefer Ft. Lauderdale for going out, though S.B. is fun to hit once or twice a month for a change of pace....and a late night. (usually don't get home before 5-7am or later)

Do the Jackie Gleason tour: Start out on South Beach and go to the Jackie Gleason Theater of Performing Arts. Take a picture of Jackie Gleason Blvd while there. The pay your respects to the Great One by paying a visit Jackie Gleason's grave; that's what I did in Miami!

Wow, no real replies all day?

It all depends on what you want to do.

If you like clubs, then South Beach is the place. Space, and the Pawn Shop, are in Downtown and allow in under 21. If you just like the Bar scene I like Ft. Lauderdale beach better.

If you've never done it, take a ride out to the everglades and take an airboat ride and see the 'gators. That is a must trip I take family out on.

We have some good strip clubs down here if that is your thing. My friends are partial to Scarlett's and Tooties. But you will have a good time at most.

The Heat are playing tonight if you want to go.

If you are a celeberty fan, then go to Bayside and take the tour of Star and Fisher Islands.

If you like to Gamble, stay away from the indian casinos down here, they just have poker and slots, and the poker tables are always packed. Take a gambling cruise and you have all of the table games.

If you had more time I always suggest Key West. I know of noone who has gone there and not stopped into Sloppy Joe's for a beer or two, or three.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went to Coconut Grove tonight. Lots of activity and great food! The weather was perfect and fantastic atmosphere.

I will probably go to South Beach tomorrow.
