Marilyn Monroe – Suicide or Cover-up?

Hello. If you could give me your brief opinion, it would be much appreciated. I’m writing a paper for my Philosophy class at UVM with the focus being Marilyn Monroe’s death…which is listed as a “suicide” but many believe to have been a cover-up. I’ve been doing a lot of research on the topic i.e. collecting books, articles (this month’s Playboy actually had a great in-depth look at the whole story, including transcripts written by her to her psychiatrist…as did the LA Times back in August) films, etc…but I also thought to ask specific people throughout the net about their thoughts on the case.

Hopefully this topic won’t lead to too much flaming etc. And please be nice to the newbie! Like I said, any info would be great.

Thanks and think snow!

Mike M.

Suicide. The only reason the conspiracy theorists think otherwise is because she was a popular movie star. If she were a secretary, no one would have given it a second thought.

It's nice to have a school assignment that justifies buying Playboy.

Personally, I think it was suicide, but I haven't done any in-depth study of the issue. I've heard about the Kennedy-mob-CIA conspiracy theories, but I don't buy them. Just my opinion. It seems to me that she lived her life like a candle in the wind, never knowing who to cling to when the rain set in.

I think Danzig figured it out years ago:

WHO KILLED MARILYN?
-------------------
5:25 August fifth, 1962
Found her lying on her chest
Her face all turning blue
You think it was an overdose
But could it have been the pact
Could it have been the Kennedys
Was it LAPD

It ain't a mystery
Baby not to me
Funny, funny, funny mystery
Baby not to me

Rotted corpse, sex decay
Breasts all full of slugs
No answer for the accident
Her **** has all dried up, you see

5:25 August fifth, 1962
Make it seem a suicide
Make it seem a suicide
Make it seem a suicide
Make it seem a suicide

It ain't a mystery
Baby not to me
Funny, funny, funny mystery
Baby not to me

It ain't a mystery
Baby not to me
Funny, funny, funny mystery
Baby not to me

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa-oh

You morans really believe she is dead? She may die in a few years from old age, but she is still doing pretty well.

Suicide. I'll admit that her autopsy photos look REALLY bad from what I remember, which is the only thing that would give me pause.
