If They Were to Dump All Prisoners On an Island...

Say they started shipping all prisoners that were serving life to a large island (think of the island on lost) and they had no means of escape (none..ever). Do you see the island?

A) Slowly starting to become a structured community with rules, laws and a functioning society

Or

B) Crazy island where no laws exist and every man is for himself.

So what you're saying is you truely believe that if in today's day and age we dropped our most deadly prisoners on an island it would end up like Australia???

Obviously, we'd have to call in Snake Plissken to rescue him.

I wouldn't say that. At the time, the UK was pretty "into" capital punishment. The worst prisoners were certainly executed and probably more liberally than Texas does today.

Relatively minor prisoners were sent to Australia, petty thieves, debtors, etc.

Does this island have a giant zombie T-Rex who grants wishes?

It would be cool if the island turned into a tiny version of Australia, maybe closer to home so it doesn't take so dang long to fly out there and see Wallabies.

In a post apocalyptic world, the US government starts shipping the worst child sex offenders to an uninhabited Island somewhere in the south Pacific. Flash to 10 years later. A plane has just crash landed on the Island.

"Were there any survivors?" Sargent Meyers asks

"Yes, they all survived" Private Nistor says with gloom

"Well, that's great! Who was on the plane?"

"Cub scout troop 539!"

Duh duh dunnnnnnnn!

I call it Pedophile Island. It's an action film and serious drama. Script's almost done.

(Ripped off from Adam Carolla)

Why spend money to put them on an island? I'm sure a bullet to the head of the life in prison losers costs alot less....and would be a far better use of tax dollars.

This was part of my revised prison system.....

Give the prisoner's a choice....they can live out the rest of their lives on the deserted island fending for themselves, or they could host their own Thunderdome, and the last prisoner living gets a shot at an appeal.

Or how about Battle Royale? That could be cool...
