Does anyone think this nativity set is bizarre?

I saw this in a Christmas store in an Indianapolis mall on Saturday. I'm not religious at all, but even I thought this was just bizarre.

Baby Jesus is a mini marshmallow on a graham cracker/chocolate bed in a stable with chocolate bar walls? Do religious folks find this offensive, or cute?

My wife and I were laughing so hard in the store I think the employees thought there was something wrong with us. I have one on order, btw.

I wouldn't think anyone would find it offensive, but it is a little weird though.

"The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."

This is exactly why "no graven images" is part of the Ten Commandments.

That being said, my friend and I once made a series of religious dioramas for our church at Easter, featuring a cast of eggs (including a crucified Christ egg).

I like my idea of gummy nativity candy better. Baby Jesus would glow in the dark, and be pina colada flavored. Melchoir would be licorice, Mary would be cherry, the angels would have to be peppermint.

Now, THAT should offend someone!

Yes, but the Bible is silent when it comes to "graham images".

I don't know about Catholics, but the Presbyterians might go for it...

Graham implacably opposed.

His original "Graham bread" was the centerpiece of a vegetarian diet created with the intent of suppressing carnal urges, which he believed were the source of many maladies.
