Look at the source code of the email and see where the "click here" link really goes.

nope.. 99.9% of paypal emails are fake
if there is anything worth knowing.. log into paypal (directly, not through an email link)
and it would be in your member area

and be sure to use a browser that detects phishing

and of course never put in any information in a site you go to by clicking an email link

Yeah, Paypal confirmed it was a fake. I changed my password and removed my CC for now just to be safe. I have to say, that was a well done fake.

Yep, that's always the giveaway. Legit ones always tell you to go to the website yourself and sign in. From there, you can do anything that legitimately needs to be done. Same with eBay.

Isn't it also true that legit PayPal emails will address you by full names, whereas the fakes won't/can't?

Most of this crap comes to my work email, so I know automatically it's all bogus.
