In answer to your question, I don't care.

I don't have this problem in Pennsylvania, sucks to be you.

Also move to a city that has wider streets.

Whomever was over the line would be at fault. That's really the only way this could occur, unless both of you were crowding the center line.

In that case, you're both at fault for not moving to avoid a potential collision.

Edit: just reread that you said residential street, which doesn't have divider lines. Both would be at fault I guess unless one could prove that the other was taking up too much of the road.

WHAT THE...???

GAWD-DAMN SPELL CHECK!!!

(Well, I guess it was doing it's job. But isn't it just like me to misspell correctly. )

Yes, it's supposed to be "opposing".

We travel up & down residential streets a billion times a week, and just tonite I was wondering and even asked Treesa, but she wasn't sure either.

LASER M: There was no damage, because there was no accident.

YEE-OUCH!!!

I thought EVERYBODY knew by now that if I actually had an accident (being my fault or not) I would have posted a full length post covering every detail?

EARTH TO LASERMOVIES: That was a PARKED CAR.

Actually, that link would better fit this quote:

Neither of you. OK, one of you were, but it would be impossible to prove, so you are each going to be responsible for your own mirrors.

What car were you in? In my '99 Accord LX, the mirrors cost about $150 each; I've replaced both of them over the years...
