My favorite comic

Penny Arcade could learn from this.

They could all learn a thing or two from Achewood.

I like most of the cartoons at Penny Arcade but their posts and comments really throw me off. They try to sound all wordy and intellectual while doing intros for fucking cartoons. The guys are gamers who want to seem just a bit better than everyone else at times. I applaud them for their huge toy drives and think they can be good guys but someone should take the thesaurus away from them and have them write normal comments on their main page.

I love Foxtrot as well but they tend to run a joke a little too long. The horoscope one from last week got so boring I started to just delete the daily e-mails before reading them until I saw Sunday's comic was a different topic.

Penny Arcade is funny once in a blue moon. For the most part, they rely on using the word "fucking" somewhere in 90% of their comics to try and get a laugh. It usually doesn't work, unless you say "this comic fucking sucks" which is usually true.

I do like Foxtrot.

Penny Arcade doesn't seem very funny at all. Which rocks, if that's what they are going for.

I admit, this one was funny. But I agree, the one below it wasn't funny at all, and was trying to get a laugh by throwing a fuck or two in there.

Add another vote for "Foxtrot funny, PA unfunny". Gratuitous use of language, offensive portrayals of religious figures [and I'm an atheist], and just generally unfunnyness [The Fruit F8cker? What the hell was that?]. But the guys themselves have said, "Hey, it's our online diary type thing, they're in jokes, if you don't get them, f* off." Which of course makes them even less appealing.
Achewood can be funny, but it's always disturbing.

The thing about Sunday's strip not being in the same storyline--that is usually the case with 7x/week strips. Sunday's strips are usually either standalone [or at least can stand alone], or part of a separate Sunday-only storyline. Some papers get only the M-Sat strips, some only get Sunday, some get both. And of course lots of people only get the Sunday paper.
