So, apparently I ran by a DEAD BODY!

I was reading the morning paper today, and I found a small blurb about a bicyclist who found a body yesterday by the river. I recognized the address, because it's part of a long trail through the valley...and because I ran through there during my long run back on Sunday!

Reading further gave me the heeby-jeebies. The article said that, apparently, the body had been in the water for about two days! Which means that it was very possible that I ran near (or right by) the body back on Sunday.

Great Googly Moogly!

You know, whenever runners, bicyclists, or hikers are mentioned in the news it's because: 1) We died horribly or 2) We found a dead body. So far, I haven't experienced #1, but I came pretty close to #2.

Anybody here ever find a body?

[Dave Attell] "I'm not into jogging...because joggers are always the ones that find the dead body. You never find a dead body sitting at home eating ice cream and watching porn, do you?" [/Dave Attell]

They say the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime. I hope you have an alibi.

Was it Matt Foley because you know he was living in a van down by the river?

I was driving home from vegas a couple of weeks ago, and as we exited an off-ramp in Barstow to eat, there was a dead body laying there on the side. He was full of blood.( looked like a biker ) When we got back on the freeway, sure enough, an ambulance was there with a sheet over him. Crazy stuff.

Am I the only one that keeps reading this as "I ran OVER a dead body"?

DAMN! All that time, to steal his identity, to stalk, him, kill him, and dump the body....and it wasn't Groucho.

I wont miss next time.

I thought I found one before but it was just a drunk.

No seriously, it's a true story
