That Barkley commercial where he tries to make the point that we know his nickname, but we don't know the nicknames (or even the names, I guess) of the people who are closest to our kids.

Of course, I've always been confused about Barkley's nickname: is Round Mound of Rebound his official one? Or Window Buster?

None of our principals ever had nicknames. If we wanted to get on their nerves, we'd just call them by their first names.

I always liked "the Wide Load from Leeds" better than TRMoR for Barkley, probably because it didn't catch on.

Any my principal's nickname was Oscar Meyers, which was a play on his name. So I guess my answer to your question is yes? wtf?

Round Mound of Rebound is the nickname from his Auburn days when he was overweight by college basketball standards. He has certainly regained the nickname after retirement.

I know the principal's name, but don't think he has a nickname. It would be cool it if was "Painty can Ned." That would make me laugh.

my principal had a nickname. he wore expensive looking suits, had pompadour-ish mop of silver hair, wore big rings on his fingers, and despite not being italian we called him 'Guido'.

We had a teacher we called BoomBoom, due to her, um, huge tracts of lands. Later on [like, ten years later] my dad taught at that school, and started to say the nickname but caught himself. I said You mean BoomBoom? he was like, "How'd you know that name?" I said, "we kids invented it!"

The vice principal of my high school was scary, like cript-keeper scary. She had these nasty long finger nails that she would click together as she stared at you. *shudder*

I think her name was Mrs. Gogglin. We all called her "the bitch". Not very creative but hey, it worked.

We had a wacky principal--briefly--in high school. He would pull kids out of line in the cafeteria at lunch time, to drive him to McD's and get some lunch [we weren't an open-campus school.]
He found a stray dog one day, on the way into school. Dirty, frightened, big stray dog. He brought it into his office, and it attended a staff meeting with him. He quit not long after his mother died, on the toilet, at the McD's they were eating at. That messed him up even more.
