Taking a vacation

Heading to the North East, to see if I can get banned in Boston. Back in a week with pictures!

Well, Boston is still in one piece. I managed to shorten Mount Washington, though. Pictures as soon as I get a chance to sort them out. I took about 1000, and I know you aren't interested in ALL of them.

If you go to www.photos.yahoo.com/hanna_fate7 you can look at the folders "new hampshire", "New Hampshire II" and "Boston, etc" to see some of the pictures I took this week.

We went to an unusual cascade called "The Flume", and by chance got there on one of the rare occasions that the sun shines into this narrow, steep-sided gorge. I got some great pictures there.

We checked out the coast of Maine, and I took way too many pictures of the ocean. I also took way too many pictures of Swift river on the way to Mount Washington. Our serendipity held up for Mount Washington; the weather was clear.

In Boston, we checked out the Commons, then went to Harvard Square. I was amazed by the glass flowers in the Natural History Museum.
