This guy describes his problem of 'face blindness'. Is this a real ailment or is he just crazy? It sounds really sad.

Can't see the linked page (blocked at work -- "Personal web site"), but if the guy has an inability to recognize or distinguish between people's faces, the condition is called prosopagnosia and is real.

Yup, it's a real condition. It's like being tone deaf, only with faces instead of melodies. They can see all the features, and read the expression, but who the heck they are is as much of a mystery as what the heck song is playing to someone who is tone deaf.

I have light blindness. If there isn't enough light, I can't see anything.

That's one of the rarer types of optical disorders, topped only by eyelid blindness which is the inability to see when your eyelids are closed.
