Last day at my job and I'm hoppin' in my seat!

Since I posted a thread when I gave notice I figured I'd say that today's my last day and I'm pumped. I like my job but I'm just so excited to start the next phase of my life. Right now I have that "anything's possible" feeling you get before the reality of being broke sets in... but I'm savoring it while I can!

So I have to finish going through all the crap around my desk, copy whatever I still need to my external hard drive, finish up a couple of projects, write some letters to my boss/coworkers, and get the hell out of here! I said goodbye to the Greek guys who run the deli downstairs (they're sweeties) and now I'm pumping Underworld's "Everything Everything Live" and dancing in my chair. It's a good feeling!

Glad you're so psyched, Gil! I hope your "new life" ends up being everything that you hoped it would.

I remember my last day at work before I went back to school. Even though I hated my job, it was a bittersweet time. I'd been there for a while.

Glad to hear that you're energized about your change! Go get um!

Might as well go ahead and take a look at some not safe for work material since consequences are of no concern.

Congrats!

I'm happy to reward your laziness. I currently (for another 4 hours) work at a small 3D video production company. I'm moving out of NY near the end of next month because I'm just tired of the hassles. I'm moving to Baltimore, a city that I lived in for 6 years back in the day, where I plan to be write DVDTalk reviews full time thanks to the generous payment package and benefits Geoff has offered me.

I kid! I'm gonna be a freelance kinda guy, doing web stuff and other multimedia stuff, using the contacts I've developed over the past 10 years or so. And I plan to paint a lot and really develop that interest.

Gil - I certainly hope that includes more hi-res maps of dog poo locations as I've grown acustomed to......and currently miss.

Seriously, congratulations and good luck in your artisitic endeavors.

No, that was for real. We're moving to Baltimore. It's a town with a lot of heart and a lot of artistic stuff going on for its size.
