Hot Time, Summer in September? (Heat Wave!)

Down here in Texas it's hot. Unseasonably hot. Hotter than it's been all summer. We've had days in the last week that are hotter than any day recorded in Austin since I've been alive.

Here's our recent highs in Austin:
Sept 21: 99 (previous record high 98 in 1931)
Sept 22: 101 (old record was 98 in 1993)
Sept 23: 98 (tied record from '93)
Sept 24: 99 (old record was 98 in '93)
Sept 25: 107 (old record was 98 in '31)
Sept 26: 107 (old record was 97 in '31)
Sept 27: 103 (tied record from '53)

Yes those 107 temperatures are correct. It's currently 93 with the high expected to be 102 it should be another record as well. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that we have 45% humidity today too. I've forgotten what clouds look like it's been so long since I've seen one. At 7:00PM yesterday the temperature was 99.

What the hell is happening? Is God just really pissed at all those people from New Orleans and his wrath has followed them to Texas?

Is anyone else having this kind of heatwave? It's unbelievable.

It was hot, yesterday, and supposed to reach 100, today. Luckily we get a cold front, tomorrow, and it is going to cool things back down to normal.

I talked to a guy in my office who's up on all the weather related gossip. According to him we had a "cold" front yesterday... that's what dropped the temperature from 107 to 103. He also says it retreated back north as a warm front.

I'm really hoping Winter hasn't been cancelled.

Well the forecasters were wrong. It's currently 105 outside.

I hate this

This is all due to the global warming. First off, you got the Hummers. Well, the Hummer Toos or whatever they care called. Funny commercials? Sure thing, but what about the planet? See the TV commercials how at the end the planet zooms out? You think you're floating or some shit? That's Earth going down the goddamned drain, my friend. Down the same filthy drain where your cheap shampoo goes. Honestly, who still uses Finesse? Do they even make it anymore? What's wrong with you?

It's COLD tonight. In the 40s. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be mid 60s with a low in the 30s at night. Yesterday it was in the 80s.

We don't have much of an autumn or spring anymore. A few weeks at most and BAM on to the next season.

God hates autumn and spring. So does Bush.

It was 32 degrees when I got up this morning. Now it's 49. Last week same day it was 85. That's messed up.

I know! Currently 69 degrees out. I turned off the A/C, cracked the windows and was humming all the way to work. It was beautiful.

I should have started this thread earlier.

Sorry. It takes a lot for me to overcome my inertia, but once I do, at least I get things done.
