So, I may be admitted to the hospital with a blood clot....

Gotta keep this short as my right arm is killing me right now.

A little history, back in Nov of 1997 I was admitted into intensive care with a blood clot in my left chest area. My left arm swelled beyond belief. They tried for 5 days to get rid of the blood clot trying to drill thru it, but I still have it today. I took blood thinners for 6 years and stopped last year right before my back surgery in May.

Well yesterday I'm watching tv at home, just lazing around on a Sunday afternoon and I noticed that my right arm was aching and tight. Sure enough it is swollen beyond belief. I went to my doctor this morning and he is sending me to emergency. Right now I am at home collecting stuff just in case if they admit me.

But I wanted to write you guys, not just for your prayers, good thoughts, wishes, vibes, etc., but to say that if I ever offended any of you or came across as holier than thou all of these years, that was never my intention. As I always like to say, I am no better than anyone else. I'm probably worse in many ways, since I know the true God, but yet I still struggle with sin.

But enough of my preaching. This could be serious for me or maybe it won't be. Last time I was in the hospital for 8 days, but I'm sure medicine has advanced in the last 8 years that maybe they can get rid of this clot and find out why I have a tendency to clot. I'm only 44 (I was 36 the 1st time), so I am a very rare case.

So Paul (THEEK) has my cell phone #, so I'm sure he will call me to see how I am.

Maybe they won't admit me today and put me on blood thinners instead and then I will post letting you know that.

Take care everyone and my only wish for all of you, is that you would all find the Truth & Peace that I have found.

Treesa & I have already made our requests in your behalf & will continue to do so until we hear that you're out of the woods!

(...one way or the other. )

You know, if there's one thing I'm sincerely learning from my last series of mini-dramas:

It's not like we're without hope, right, Chris?

...and I'm beginning to seriously understand it (with eye-popping revelation) as kinda like that commercial:

"Your in Good Hands"

WHATEVER happens!

Space Mountain is like a (((Blender))) to many of its older fans... &

The last time you had clotacious problems was way back in 1997???

Well, that's nearly "9" years ago! With "Today's" technology, I would hope you'll be fit as a fiddle and posting Headlines in no time flat!

Hey! Who ya gonna call?

OH! & BTW: I was gonna start a thread about this but I figured it wouldn't really be conversation worthy, so in passing, I'll just post it in here.

What do you think? I mean, regarding Famous Monsters (Aka: Frankenstein, Dracula, & The Wolfman)...Boxers or Briefs?

No smilie was harmed during the making of this post.

Everything should be fine. I know blood clots can be serious, but most are easily treatable.

Write us soon to let us know how it all went!

Where IS mrpayroll-in-ze-hay?

OH, MAN!!! &

I know he said his Doctor told him to go to Emergency, so maybe they'll admit him into the Hospital and keep him there overnight just to play it safe (giving him more blood thinners or doin' another roto-rooter thing on that blasted clot).

What a horrible thing to have happen, and yet, we are ALL just one clot away from being' in mr p's shoes (& or Hospital slippers) ourselves!

I just called him but got his voicemail ( ) and so I hung up, then I mustard-ed-up all of my courage, called him back, got the voicemail yet again, but this time I ACTUALLY left a message!

--MR. P. UPDATE--: We just got home, and I called him again (5:21 pm, PST), and his voicemail is packed-full (of Love Vibes, I presume) and cannot receive any more messages.

That's mr p for ya!

He's "Mr. POPULARITY"!!!

I JUST spoke to MCPR!!!

He said they found a new clot in his right arm. &

Now he has TWO clots.

For those of you that don't know, that can be some very serious shat. He said he was just sitting there in Emergency for like "5" FRIGGIN' hours and they FINALLY put him in his room moments before I called. He said they are gonna keep him on blood thinners and try to suck-out the clot. If that doesn't work they'll try that roto rooter thing. Then I heard him talking to someone, and that he had to be weighed, and finally that he had to get off the phone.

To Everyone that will:

Oh, Lord!

You can have Christopher for Eternity!

...but we need him here (on earth) at DVD Talk to post all those great Headline threads for at LEAST 3 or 4 dozen more years, and besides, you already know darn well "I" don't wanna lose him...

I mean...

He's my BIGGEST fan!!!

Good luck! There are lots of potential reasons why blood clots may be developing more readily in you - hope everything works out OK.
