I actually find it mildly amusing.

That's not Forrest Gump, it's Forrest Gunk.

Note that he spelled it "Forrest", thus acknowledging the takeoff of the movie. Otherwise it would only have one 'r'.

Thank goodness for that dialogue bubble. I would have totally missed the fact that it was really messy if it weren't for that.

I think this cartoon is brilliant. The artist has brilliantly captured the zeitgeist of modern life in one colorful panel. The two dominant colors, brown and green, suggest camouflage. Coupled with the overbearing canopy of trees, it suggests the sense of peril in hiding our true selves in a cacophonic society.

The talking tree, placed as it is to the right of the panel, frames the decaying squirrels, suggesting that our life's path is covered in such missteps and disappointments. The caption "Forrest Gunk" plays on our expectations of popular culture as being crass and devoid of beauty, while the tree itself, in its dialog, sums up humanity's plight at being a simple prisoner of this blue planet. His beautifully written words, "Oh, it is sooo messy here!!!... Ewwwwww, yuck!!!" are the artist's ultimate commentary on the lives we are forced to lead in an industrialized society. A simply amazing piece of work.

OK, while the original version was mildly amusing (or just cute), the revised version is very funny.

And if it had Ricky Gervais name at the top it would be proclaimed as brilliant!

The worst comic ever was the Lockhorns, when they were looking into the crib with a big red stain in the middle and the husband says

"Maybe I shouldnt have fucked it to death"
