Ever ask someone a question and they just didn't answer you?

Now wouldn't it be a laugh riot if no one responded to this thread?

(... ...)

Seriously though...

I can't count how many times I've asked folks questions about stuff and never got an answer, but if I were to write 'em ALL down, I'd probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 pages (both sides, on those legal pad things, or there abouts) of great, wonderful, amazing, thrilling, astounding, intriguing, revealing, personal, penetrating, and compassionate, (yet probing) questions, that I've asked people (here in "The Great OTT", & out-there in public, Aka: "The OTTERLESS Wasteland"), and (for one reason or another) I've never received ANY answers to ANY of them!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???

WHAT'S THIS WORLD COMING TO???

FOR SHAME!!!

Ever have that happen to you?

...hello?

...Hello??

...HELLO???

See what I mean???

"You do it, we report it!"

You don't write them down? I usually write these questions down and ask them to that person in irrelevant threads.

Yes.

That one was probably rhetorical, but I just wanted to make sure.

Are you talking about asking a specific person here a question? Or do you mean starting a thread that has a question and not getting an answer in it? Or how some people respond to questions with another question?

Online it's not a big deal (people could forget to return to the thread, miss your reply, whatever), but in person it is incredibly rude. I always respond to people, even if it's just, "Sorry, I don't know."

I hate when it happens during conversations. I'll interject a question or two somewhere along the way, and I KNOW the person or persons heard me, but it goes in one ear and the other while they continue to chatter away. Sometimes I feel some of the people I hang around with are more interested in monologues than a dialogue.

OK, now I'm nervous that I have to respond to EVERY QUESTION IN THIS THREAD or be considered rude!

I would personally find that tragic.

Hmm. Maybe the solution is, fewer questions per post. That should help.

Ever ask someone a question and they just didn't answer you?

Yes, I did, Paul. Twice. And I never got an answer back. And it's pissing me off.

I hate whenever I say something, but apparently I wasn't loud enough & the person just turns around & walks the other way.

I try to always respond to other's questions even if just to say "Sorry...I don't work here." Gotta stop wearing khakis and a red shirt to Target.
