I Have Too Many Opinions

Hey, did you see that new movie? I did, and let me tell you exactly what I think about it.

Sports teams? Hey, my football/basketball/indoor lacrosse team is the best, and I can prove it in 50 words or less. (I mean, I could... but I certainly won't...)

Politics? Child rearing? Quantum physics? Tastes great, less filling? I have an opinion on every conceivable subject, and I am only too happy to share them with you, whether you asked for them or not.

Maybe I have too many opinions. Is being overly opinionated a really bad thing?

I have opinions on everything as well. Fortunately they are all right and everyone agrees with them.

Can I have some of your opinions, Mojo? I seem to be lacking in that area.

What do I think about ...? Hmm...I dunno. Let me think about that. I guess it could go either way.

Did you like the movie? I'm not sure...

etc.

The only problem I have with my opinions is when I make Idols out of them.

If I allow myself to do that, pride will get in the way, and if that happens, I can't be reasoned with (you know, that "My way or the Highway" mindset), and I want to remain teachable in life.

That, to me means, I need to keep myself pliable, and willing to listen to new information (because I sincerely understand I don't know everything), weight it in the balance of Truth, admit where I was wrong and change were needed.

To me, Truth = Freedom.

For it has been said:

"The wind does not break a tree that bends."

What, you think you have too many opinions, and your solution is to get MORE opinions from us?

Nope. No opinion from me, I'm not an enabler!
