I haven't listened to the original one yet (no sound on this computer), but I got a huge kick out of this particular call.

It's one of those ideas that's pretty simple, but works really well...
Spoiler:
A guy calls a chinese take-out place and places an order, then tells him that his friend wants to add some stuff to the order and asks the guy to repeat the order to his "friend". He then puts the guy on hold, calls a second take-out place and tells the second place that he wants to place an order. He then asks the first guy to repeat the order and connects the calls to each other, so that both places think that they're taking an order, and things end up rather confused.

xVladx wins this battle. That was actually pretty clever.

The initial one sounds staged.

This is a standard stunt that Eddie V and Jobo used to do all the time on B96 in Chicago. More times than not the dude being tested would name the chick who called the radio station, and everyone's happy.

I think this is from the Howard Stern show and yeah, it's pretty damn funny. But it's not as good as High Pitch Eric and Elephant Boy calling the Turkish bath house.

Anyone got a link to that one by chance?

Opie and Anthony used to play this one all the time on 102.7 in new york, even thought it was from another radio show. Correct me if i'm wrong, but on the full length version of this, after the girlfriend hangs up, the guy on the line goes "Oh man, you guys are DOUCHEBAGS!" The full length version is much better.

I can't prove it, but it's probably not fake. Maybe it's been proven fake somewhere else.

They do that gag every week here in KC on 96.5. It's the exact same schtick, someone "wins" some free roses and they ask who they want to send them to. Of the ones I've listened to, about 50% catch cheaters. The other 50% don't and therefore aren't funny. But I figure if they're playing the ones that aren't funny on the air, then it must be real.

They probably say "let's play half of them not catching. That will make people think the one's where they're caught must be real. And it will keep them guessing."
