Is there a way to figure what color paint you have on your walls?

Here's the deal...just bought a new house that was in immaculate shape. The paint on the walls was teriffic. However, I forgot to ask the previous owners what brand of paint and what color they had on specific walls. Now that I have taken possession, there are certain places that I would like to touch up (where they removed their paintings). Is there a way the exact color and brand can be figured out? What if I take a chip of paint from the wall to Home Depot or Lowes?

Yes, bring a paint ship in and they can color match it for you at Home Depot. If you bring the entire wall it will be easiest.

It won't look exact. FYI, you may be better off painting that entire wall, which will make it "stand" out a bit less.

What colors does everyone have?

Right now, behind my monitor, is a faint mint green color.

The color in my office: "Mochaccino"

I couldn't begin to name all the paint colors we used in our house last year. 14 different colors I believe... there's a nice collection of cans left in the garage for future touch-ups.
