My neighbor's dog eats cat poo...
straight from the litter box.
I was sitting in the living room and his [very] overweight dog was just munching on cat shit straight out the litter box like it was a gourmet delicacy. After getting back from the bathroom he yells "not again Blondie"! Apparently this has happened on more than one occasion. The worst part in all of this is that the dog had licked me on the face when I first arrived.

That's like saying your cats breath smells like cat food.
Dogs eat and lick some of the strangest things. Including poop that they themselves made.

All I know is that there isn't much in this world that can turn my stomach...this is the exception. That smell is still lingering inside my head!

My sister's dog does too. They have to keep the litter box up high or else else their dog will go right for it. I think a lot of people's dogs do it or would do if they got the chance. they just don't know it or mabye they don't own a cat so they don't know that their dog would do it.

Animals (well, dogs and mole rats) do this because they are following an instinct to survive. Their shit still contains nutritious elements and they can pass it through their bodies like 3 or 4 times.
At least this applies for dogs. I have never in my life seen a cat eat shit. Has anyone seen a cat eat poop? I've even seen skinny ass cats turn up their noses at this dog delicacy.

My cat eats bugs - moths and crickets mostly - that's about the worst of it. There's simply nothing more disgusting than the thought of something eating shit or vomit. I know it's natural and still contains nutrients, but it's still sick. This is why I won't own a dog.

When one of my cats barfs they all gang up on it- i think they consider it an extra meal, especially if it hasn't been well digested
