Just picked this up for $126,900! Now I am broke, lol!

Finally purchased a house. Made my $1,000 deposit and signed a contract today. Closing date is the end of September when I get done with training and will be back in Atlanta. I'm very excited as this is my first house.

Located 10 minutes from Atlanta Motor Speedway and a 2 car garage for my babies :-)

Plan to live in this house 2-3 years, sell (make 20k-30k), and then upgrade to 200k house ....and still be single (doing it all by my damn self) GS-11 by then

This is a picture of an exact spec home in the sub division. Since I am not ready to close I am having one built which means I get to pick my own colors, save some $$, etc...

Congrats, man! Signing on the dotted line and picking up your keys will be a rewarding experience. About 3 years ago, I was worried about building a house, but I made the jump and don't regret it. For me, the difference it's made on my tax return is incredible, second only to the ability to crank the JBL's to earth shattering dB's! Good luck with the house!

Are you closing in Sept. because that is when it will be finished, or what? That seems like a long time for a loan to close.

Congrats.

That house would easily fetch 800K in San Franfrisko.

A couple of concerns.

Does the neighborhood have covenants against working on your car in the driveway? Some do.

Second, leave yourself some cushion in case the real estate market plateaus and the value doesn't go up for a few years. You'll probably be pretty safe in Georgia, but still. . .

It looks like you will be sharing your back yard with your neighbors. Do they not allow fences to be put up?

You only put down a $1,000 deposit and you are broke already?

No kidding. Man, if one of those houses catches on fire, the whole neighborhood is going to go up.

Never seen neighborhoods in Tokyo I take it? The houses are just literally right next to each other in most places! You could shake hands with your neighbor through your windows.
