Just picked this up for $126,900! Now I am broke, lol!

Finally purchased a house. Made my $1,000 deposit and signed a contract today. Closing date is the end of September when I get done with training and will be back in Atlanta. I'm very excited as this is my first house.

Located 10 minutes from Atlanta Motor Speedway and a 2 car garage for my babies :-)

Plan to live in this house 2-3 years, sell (make 20k-30k), and then upgrade to 200k house ....and still be single (doing it all by my damn self) GS-11 by then

This is a picture of an exact spec home in the sub division. Since I am not ready to close I am having one built which means I get to pick my own colors, save some $$, etc...

Dmacsg1 06-03-05 05:55 PM

Just wondering....How many square feet are you getting in that house?

Take care all!!

Congrats, man! Signing on the dotted line and picking up your keys will be a rewarding experience. About 3 years ago, I was worried about building a house, but I made the jump and don't regret it. For me, the difference it's made on my tax return is incredible, second only to the ability to crank the JBL's to earth shattering dB's! Good luck with the house!

Nick Danger 06-03-05 06:02 PM

Congratulations!

Time to buy a king size!

schlitz100 06-03-05 06:03 PM

Congrats on your first house!

kvrdave 06-03-05 06:04 PM

Are you closing in Sept. because that is when it will be finished, or what? That seems like a long time for a loan to close.

Congrats.

Mopower 06-03-05 06:08 PM

Congrats. How many bunk beds will fit in it?

Myster X 06-03-05 06:10 PM

That house would easily fetch 800K in San Franfrisko.

Nick Danger 06-03-05 06:10 PM

A couple of concerns.

Does the neighborhood have covenants against working on your car in the driveway? Some do.

Second, leave yourself some cushion in case the real estate market plateaus and the value doesn't go up for a few years. You'll probably be pretty safe in Georgia, but still. . .

It looks like you will be sharing your back yard with your neighbors. Do they not allow fences to be put up?

You only put down a $1,000 deposit and you are broke already?

Lateralus 06-03-05 06:47 PM

Pretty good house for 127k! Congrats

DVD Polizei 06-03-05 06:49 PM

Congrats. But...where's the front door. :hscratch:

ukywyldcat 06-03-05 06:50 PM

but now you own a nice house rather than renting shit. you aren't broke...you're fixed.

El Scorcho 06-03-05 06:54 PM

Why on earth does each house look exactly the same

Bacon 06-03-05 06:59 PM

congrats, but the other houses are too close for my taste.

127k would buy the area contained by the driveway around here.... :(

Congrats on your first house, dude!

No kidding. Man, if one of those houses catches on fire, the whole neighborhood is going to go up.

Never seen neighborhoods in Tokyo I take it? The houses are just literally right next to each other in most places! You could shake hands with your neighbor through your windows.
