2005 Otterville Election - Part II - Grill the Nominees Edition

Here are your 2005 Otterville Presidential Candidates and their respective parties:
das Monkey (incumbent)
Bandoman (I Don't Give A Shit party)
DaveNinja (Ninja+Pirate Party )
dick_grayson (Tubgirl party)
Green Jello (Jiggly Dessert Party)
Groucho (Not Bandoman Party)
joltaddict (hot chick?!?! party)
Kittydreamer (pussycat party)
kvrdave (Puppy Love Party)
Seeker (Seeking a great party)
SleepyW (Breasts & Thighs Party)
strife (ICCS Party)
Trigger (Independent party)
twikoff (dont vote for me party)
wendersfan (Political Party)
Whogirl (...and the rest. party)

For the next 2 weeks, you get to grill the nominees. You can ask questions for all nominees to answer, or direct them towards specific ones.

This is also the time that the nominees will begin to build their platform by feeding you a line of bullshit expressing their views and what they plan to do, to make otterville better.

This will continue for the next couple weeks. After which time, the 16 candidates will be broken into 2 groups and preliminary voting will be done. Only the nominees that receive 15% or higher in these votes, will continue in the race.

Alright I have a question and it is open to all the nominees:

"When does the DDD Sale start?"

EDIT: I guess I should have added the smilie to ensure that people knew I was kidding.

2. What will you do to ensure/improve the fun is indeed back in the forum?

I have a question for candidate Groucho: You're such an intelligent and handsome man, and we all find ourselves constantly in awe of your rapier-like wit. With that in mind, my question is this: have you decided who your running mate will be yet?

First, my platform:

We can't all be Bandoman. I know I'm not, and I'm not shamed to admit it!

Are you not Bandoman? Are you looking for a candidate that speaks up for your non-Bando issues? Tired of transparent advertising for Bando Brand Chips?

Then look no further than Groucho. I promise to look out for you, my fellow Non-Bando men and women. We are a silent majority that must speak up before it's too late! The last year we have suffered under the current administations blatent pro-Bando agenda. THIS WILL NOT STAND.

So, rise up! Join with me and say "I'm non-Bando as hell, and I'm not going to take it any more!"

Groucho: He's Not Bandoman. Not now, not in the future, and not in the past*.

Spoiler:
*Well, for a couple days in the past I was Bandoman. But I didn't inhale!

Now, I'll address the questions posed by the peanut gallery:

1. See my platform above.

2. Ask not what fun the forum can bring to you. Ask what fun you can bring to the forum.

I stopped reading here because I was weirded out by the gay vibe. Please, can we keep the flirting offline?

1. My main issue here in otter is to insure the fairness and equality of each member. Sure, we all love the twikoff option in polls but maybe sometimes Bando wants to be a poll option. I mean, who doesn't want to be an option in a poll? Also, I think it would be fun to have monthly contests with fun prizes, like a mod approved avatar for a day or week. Also, All female otters will always have to post topless. Even though you can't see them, you'll know their boobies are hanging free and perky.

2.

I hope this answers all of your questions!

I personally love avatars. I think it's a fun way for each member to express their individuality. I understand why we all can't have them and I don't fault the mods for that. But I think it might be fun to be able to earn them somehow, even for just a few days. There could be contests, forum treasure hunts, special *ahem* favors done for the mods....

On the question of avatars I say:

HELL YES!

I think everyone should have them, but with limits put on them. They should be a set size, and for those who care, we can ban "questionable" content. Also, I think they should only be for Senior Members and higher.

So you've already stooped to misquoting your opposition. Sad that your candidacy reeks of desparation at such an early stage. I had expected Groucho would take the low-road from the start, but I had higher hopes for you. What a shame.

To my fellow candidates: be careful of promises you cannot keep. As you all recall, the current incumbant promised "Avatars for all!" But look around you...he only succeeded in getting an Avatar for himself!

I, Groucho, pledge that if it's good enough for me, it's good enough for everybody.
