Best Craps Tables To Play In Vegas.....

I am planning a trip to Vegas in Oct/November (Deftones and El Scorcho...you guys SO need to come down and gamble with me), and I need to find the best craps tables to play. I assume they are downtown, or a block off the strip. I would prefer to stay at the casino where they have the best tables, so I can try and get my room comp'd. The backup plan is to get a room comp'd for another trip a few months later. Suggestions?

I'm thinking of staying either downtown (4 queens, etc), or maybe at the north end of the strip (Sahara, etc).I'll probably bring $700-$1000 as a bank roll, so I won't be at the $25-$50 tables. I play a pretty good amount at craps, a bit of roullete, some pai gow, and BJ.

The tables at Casino Royale are pretty good as they offer 100x odds and offer lower limits .

YOu bastard. J and I were gonna hit up Reno in Sept/Oct. Free rooms and cheap gambling. Maybe you should change your plans.

The Plaza downtown used to be the best. $2 minimum and 100x odds. We went back earlier this year and it's not that way anymore. I think it's $5 minimum, and 10x odds. The only cheap tables you are going to find are downtown or in the ghetto part of the strip (Circus Circus, Stardust, Slots-A-Fun) etc...

Hmm...maybe. Sept is too early for me...but MAYBE Oct. It be a more last minute thing if I did it.

ps. thanks for the info about the craps tables. I figures the sketchier the place...the better. I'm not above playing at a dingy place.

I've already been to vegas and done all of the touristy stuff....I am going there this fall for 2 reasons: 1. to gamble 2. to drink. I will do that at the best places to gamble, regardless of safety....err....rather regardless of 'name'.

ps. Jay better not puss out. I KNOW he has the funds because of his online exploits...and it isn't like he actually works.

F' that!

If I make it out there, that bitch better come! I'm his lucky f'ing charm! If for no other reason than I made him bank the last time we played craps. I think it'd be a blast to party with you two...i'm just not sure it will fit my schedule.

Tell you what. Do whatever you can. I can't promise anything, but if our Reno trip falls through, I'll bring a crew up to Vegas and we can party.

Sweet. I'm hoping to bring some people out with me too. My worlds may collide a bit, but if everything goes as planned...we probably won't remember the weekend.

Yeah so.....J, what craps tables are we going to hit in Oct? I am definately planning a trip to Slots o' Fun....just because every review i've read of it makes it sound like a huge dive...which is exactly the kind of place I expect to find entertainment!

They only have 1 craps table. It's always full. We'll find something near there, though. Stardust, Sahara, Casino Royale, Imperial Palace, or any other ghetto place on the North end of the strip is a candidate.

Casino Royale is definitely a place to hit, if not for Craps then the cheap booze! The only problem with any of the tables there is that they are always packed.

Sounds like my kind of place!

I've saving up my money so I can enjoy the cheap tables to the fullest!

lol! I'm hoping to centralize my gambling and score a comp'd room for my next trip...probably Oct or Dec.

So Casino Royale has 100x odds, or so i've been told. How would that (if at all) change your betting strategy. From my understanding, it helps you slightly with house advantage, but besides that......?

If they have lower limits, you can afford to put a higher multiple odds bet out there than you would normally.

With 100x odds, the house edge goes to next to nothing long-term but short-term has a motherfuck of variance.

Since the odds bet is a 0.00% edge for the house, you're effectively flipping a coin for $100 (on a $1 bet with max odds) repeatedly (spread out over tens upon tens of rolls).

So should I play there or just stick to a $15/$25 table? The house edge in general is like 2% or less, right? I'd like to find one casino to play craps, and stick to it, with the plan of getting some comps. How are the Casino Royale comps?

They have an Outback, Denny's, and Subway, so any comps could go a long way.

I'd forget about the comps, and play craps at the place that offers you the best chance of winning money and that would be the Royale.

Oh and slightly off topic - BOO to O'Sheas. They went to 6/5 blackjack payouts on all their blackjack tables.

The best play you can make craps-wise is get a point for cheap (such as on a $1 table) and then put the max odds that you are comfortable with losing.

For instance, I would play Casino Royale and put $1 on the line with 20x odds behind it. There's no rule that says you *have* to play 100x.

Btw, you're not gonna get shit for comps unless you're spreading the table with at least $25-50 worth of bets per roll.
