Is Edmunds.com accurate for used car estimation?

It seems really high to me.

I use that, kbb, and nadaguides and compare them and come up with something close to average.

It was pretty on for the trade I just did, but I'm convinced the dealer overpaid (not that I'm complaining.)

Edmunds is consumer friendly, KBB is dealer friendly. When I was looking last I just averaged them all together.

Some people are sticklers. I had an old guy turn down my car because the average was over kbb's value. For all I know it could have been the worst value, so I was going with an average. I even showed him a print out of all three estimates.

Edmund's is saying my car is worth more than what I bought it for.

KBB doesn't have a value for my car, even though it's listed in there.

So your car is worth NOTHING! That would be good if that meant you didn't have to pay property tax on your car!

I checked to see I was upside down on my car since the payment is a tad high and I'm looking to cut expenses. Wish I could find something accurate.

Checked Carsoup, some guy is selling his, which is a 2003 with 30K miles on it (mine's a 2003.5 with about 10K miles) for almost $14K. I bought mine for $16,750 and have paid almost $5K off. I didn't expect it to hold its value this well if the numbers appear to be somewhat accurate. Damn KBB, wish they had a price for it.

I think edmunds is a little high on the trade in side. As far as used dealership prices they are way high I would never pay more than used private party price but from a dealership. I think most used car lots will sell their cars at the private party since the dealer retail is too high IMHO.
