Procrastination has made me very productive today

I have a four page paper due Tuesday, and in an attempt to avoid doing it I have managed to clean all the dishes, clean the entire kitchen, clean the bathroom, pickup and vaccuum living room and bedroom, wash (checked for gum this time) what dirty clothes I had laying around and getting ready to put them away. So eight hours after I started writing the paper I have exactly one paragraph and five words done.

Amateur.

It's only four pages and it's due Tuesday. I would have started that one at about 8 pm Monday night.

I know what you mean about procrastination. I have a final paper due tomorrow on "Tools of Spatial Integration" and I have been putting it off and putting it off.

I also have 15 days left until my master's thesis is due.

I need to really stop procrastinating.

My 37 yr. old sister likes to call my house on Saturday afternoons with strange questions. One time it was something about a 110 camera & I was like "I don't know if I can still get you one of those. I only know one place that used to sell them." She's like "Oh, I don't want to buy one. I'm doing a project on new & old technology & wanted to know what ...blah...blah...blah." It usually catches me off guard until I've already started the conversation, then I remember that her papers are always due at 11PM on Saturday nights, via the net. I always end up thinking, you know I didn't tell her to sign up for college so I could do her homework. She also calls our parents & our little sister (19 yrs. old) for help.

I've got a paper due Wednesday and a take home test due for the same class on that day. Haven't started either.

I only read the title of this thread. I'll get around to reading the rest later.

Procrastination is like masturbation. In the end, you're only fucking yourself.

Good luck on the paper (I say, as I put off studying for my final even longer)

I've got a 7-page final paper due in a few hours and I'm not even halfway finished. Right now I'm headed to Jack-in-the-Box to claim my free Jack's Spicy Chicken. I rule.

the last school paper, as in last one before I was out of Sacramento State with my degree was a 10 pager on porn.

Oh got to love the group meeting on that. Teacher throws out like 10 topics in a list to groups of 5-6 of us.. Right away I'm thinking "OH I want that porn one!" sep of course I don't want to look like a perv so I say nothing. Only to have the glee of watching everyone sit there going "OMG I'm NOT doing a paper on porn!"

"Oh fine I'll do the paper on porn" I say as if I'm doing them the favor. heh.. Slam dunk easy to write being all the anti-porn people had already done all my research for me.

I do the same thing to avoid having to go to sleep when something is scheduled for me early the next morning. I start playing XBOX games I haven't played for some time, organizing things, paying bills, and etc. I'll do anything that will give me a reason to stay up.
