Does anyone here know which supplements are safe to take with Zoloft?

I take Meridia and it's perfectly safe.

I think diet and exercise are safe enough. Maybe to rev things up, drink a gallon of water a day too.

THE absolute best way to encourage your body to lose fat, is to eat small, frequent meals. 6 small meals a day, consisting of 1 small protein portion, and 1 small carb portion. drink TONS of water.

walk or jog daily.

nothing else is needed.

Debbert please talk with your physician about medication changes. Meridia is not perfectly safe and is contraindicated with Zoloft use (ie, do NOT use).

All that is needed is a proper calorie deficit, it's pure physics. No need to confuse the OP

I don't see why you'd need the supplements, the only ones that I can see help are ephedra, for example, but they're not safe (and obviously not something I would touch).

Thanks for all the above answers!! Um, I figured there might be a doctor or two around here. That's why I asked.

Ah, but a big secret that the AMA has been trying to suppress is that doctors can be douchebags too.

I take vitimin B-50 and B-12 and also Fish Oil. They help speed up your metabolism safely. I dont know if they work or not since I was losing weight before I started taking them. But they make my pee look like lime gatorade. Diet pills are just caffine. I wouldn't waste money on them. Just exercise and put the fork down.

The only thing I'd consider a safe weight-loss supplement would be something like green tea extract, but all that does is raise your metabolism slightly (and supply a bunch of antioxidants). Taking a full dose is only supposed to cause you to burn an extra 500 calories per week, though, so it's hardly a miracle pill. It's also not as enjoyable as just drinking a few cups of green or white tea per day.

Weight loss supplements are basically really expensive caffeine pills. There is no reason to buy them. Most people tend to view them as an easy way to get results.

Some natural metabolism boosters include omega-3 (fish oil caps) and green tea. Everything else is highly unnecessary and will only promote weight loss in one place.....your wallet.

Green tea extract has been shown to increase estrogen levels in mice. The effect is probably negligible, but estrogen is one of those things I'd make an effort to minimize if I were trying to lose fat.

Crap I just drank a cup of green tea. Does this mean I'll grow tits and get a period?

Don't skip meals. A lot of people don't eat breakfast and doing that throws your metabolism for a loop and slows it down. As mentioned already, how you eat is as important as what you eat, smaller meals throughout the day, avoid fried foods. Don't eat late at night either. Lower your refined sugar intake, cutting down on soda/pop is an easy way to greatly decrease sugar/fat consumption/production respectively, and make for a woofy-er, healthier debbert.

But those full-chested mice still had a lower body weight than the control mice.

Don't be ridiculous. It is much more likely that your penis will collapse and form a nice vaj. If this happens, just put your thumb in your mouth and blow. You should be fine.

Do not take Meridia...Its useless and if you are on Zoloft for an anxiety disorder, it will pretty much drive you insane.

I had a friend who was on Meridia for a short time. She went crazy and got a kinda OCD complex about things being clean. She would shower like 5 times a day, and one night, her hubby came home from work to see her on the kitchen floor, scrubbing it with a toothbrush and muttering about it not being clean enough.
