Poker/Casinos in Niagra Falls?

Me and the gf are stopping in Niagra Falls for a day (friday) when we leave from Toronto. Since the weather is cold we thought we would go to the casinos for a bit. We mostly play NL tournies and I was wondering if anyone has played in Niagra Falls and where we should look on a friday. I really hate limit ring games and NL ring games are too volitile for my wallet.

Thanks

Yeah Daniel is downtown tonight at Madison's, not even going to bother, going to be a packed house.

No tournies at Fallsview yet, Niagara poker room opens in April, across the border there's Seneca, I dunno what goes on in there.

Seneca is the poker I frequent the most. It is much better than fallsview because of the wait. I don't typically wait more than 10-15 minutes for a table as long as I call ahead. As for tournaments, Seneca really only offers tournaments at 10AM. You can check their website for the weekly tournament schedule. www.senecaniagaracasino.com They also are starting to run some really cool tournaments about once a month. There is actually one this sunday that I am looking forward to. It is a $540 buyin, gonna be some good prizes!

i think our hotel is right next to fallsview, but anyway it's too bad we won't be there to play today's 10am tourny and we have to leave tomorrow morning. It'll be the first time either of us are playing live with real money so whatever we play should be interesting. Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll report how it was.

Fallsview was a very nice casino but gaming-wise it sucked, IMO. This was a side trip so we only wanted to gamble with @$200. I'm sure I would of enjoyed the experience much more if i went on a weeknight or had more to gamble with.

The wait for the lower level limit poker games was 3-4 hours. It was a Friday night so it wasn't a big surprise. We decided to put our name on the list and play some cheap black jack and kill some time. The casino had only one $5 table with a 2-deep crowd around it and one $10 table that had a smaller crowd. The few $15 tables we found were also full. Expected on a friday night but frustrating because they had so many empty $25+ tables and one whole unused section of tables. I scanned the few roullette and craps tables but they were all 35$ and higher as well and packed.

No free booze! Canadian law. Not that i ever would of been eligible for a free drink but something else that will not have me eager to go back.

So after searching for a table for 30 minutes then blowing $30 in the Elvis slots, we checked out the shops and got some sushi. We still had @3 hour wait for a table so we decided to leave, pretty much out of boredom.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the fallsview casino. You should have gone across the border to the seneca niagara casino. The wait for any table there is usually an hour max. They don't have too many cheap tables, but they usually have more than 1.

if I had seen this thread earlier I would have posted this. I haven't actually been there, and it would have required about an hour or so drive each way from NF, but I've heard it's pretty good for poker

never been to fallsview, or the seneca one in NF but I want to go to the seneca one. I can say that casino niagara is on the decline. went twice in the last 3 months. they were overly anal about checking ID and the $5 tables they used to have for stuff were no where to be seen
