Oscar Talk

Chris Rock is funny. But comediens don't know jack about politics. He starts funny than dogs Bush. Than he says "let's hear it for the troops fighting overseas."

Suffice it to say I'm a little confused by the mxed message.

Chris Rock is funny ?

If by funny you mean offensive, small-minded, racist, tasteless and devoid of any sense of charisma or charm, then yeh - he is funny.

you dont have to support the politicians, the people calling the shot, or the reason the troops are fighting... in order to support the troops that are over there risking their lives, and doing as they are ordered.

you can hate the person that sends them and the reason they are there, but still support them while they are there.. Even the bush haters, have gotta support the troops, or they can go to hell.

Chris Rock is pretty funny sometimes. I haven't turned the show on yet, but may review a few minutes of it on Tivo later if I'm bored. Otherwise I'll just read about the results tomorrow.

Well said, twikoff.

(never thought that's a phrase I'd ever read on these forums...least of all coming from me)

How come every time a Hispanic won something they kept showing Antonio Banderas and when Jamie Foxx won all they showed were black people in the audience?
