I liked the dance scene quite a bit. It is amazing....this reminds me that MJ was truly an incredible songwriter/singer back before he became the white homosexual pedophile we know today.

I gotta agree with Cameron - that was one of the worst lego videos I have ever seen. It was dreadfully dull watching it up until the dance bit which wasn't that impressive either. They should let Miramax edit it down to 30 seconds.

Agreed.

I might go with about half that editing time, though.

That wasn't a lego video so much as it was a lego minifig video. Interesting, but the shaky stop motion camera work and constantly changing lighting ruin the effect. He should have used lego buildings and walkways and such too, for the full experience.

Although having the guy's arm fall off as he's walking along made me lol.

You guys are brutal. You know how much time doing a 12 minute video like that would take? It isn't an afternoon project. Lighting and cameras are going to change. Anyway, the only thing that bugged me is, why the hell is it so blurry? Compressed too much?

I enjoyed it. Much better once the zombies showed up and the dance sequence started.

if your going to take the time to do something take the time to do it right...using a tripod and not moving the table lamp are a good start...and the clay looks awful....buy a lego floor. When the song fist starts, you keep seeing the camera cutting back to the edge of the Shoe box or whatever they were using...brutal....might be...but if you want to make a good movie you have to spend a little more time mapping it out.

All that trouble and they didn't even bother to focus the camera.

Quite an ambitious effort. Too bad that they didn't have a real video camera and used (what appears to be) a $20 pencam.

It takes quite a bit of planning to get stop-action animation to match the specific timing of the audio.

don't need to list my merits...its not a scoreboard, it's art. but if you want to see a good lego video check this out.

Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock

It's hardly grade A material... I guess if its the only lego video you had ever seen it would look cool. Production quality is just bad all the way around... I am sure some other great Lego vids are posted around....someone should compile a list, start a new thread if you want...to whoever made this...its a start, and I hope if they keep with it they will get better...but little Jimmy's finger paintings don't need to hang next to great master pieces...but even harryhausen started somewhere.

Seriously though - that video was crappy. Just because they spent alot of time on it doesn't mean it's good. I've made better (and my films sucked) and I've had friends who made better. Stop motion is time consuming, but it's not difficult... doing a good job is difficult.
