I Hate This Noise!!!

There is no sound that I hate more than hearing someone clip their nails. I don't know why I dislike it so much but it just pierces through the air for me when I hear it, no matter what's going on around me.

A co-worker was just doing it at her desk. Apparently she had nothing better to do. we also used to have a sales person do it at his desk as well but I think he was reprimanded. Not only is it gross but the noise....ugh...THE NOISE!!!!!!!

Just venting...moving right along...

There's a person at work that does this nearly every day. Apparently her nails grow much faster than the rest of ours do.

BRING THE NOISE!!

Seriously, this guy in my office does it too. It's not REALLY annoying, but pretty confusing.

I can handle the nail clipping sound. It's the sound people make when they're eating food and their tongue is sticking to the roof of their mouth and then smacking the bottom drives me fliping insane.....

But how do you handle it when you clip your own nails?

haha...truth be told, I end up biting my fingernails which is gross as well but at least there's no nasty noise. The weird thing is that I don't bite them too short and i've actually had people ask me if I get manicures. Hmmm...maybe this could be a new business venture for me.

The noise doesn't bother me as much as the possibility of being hit directly in the eye by flying bits of toenail.

I'm tired of hearing the guy in the cube next to me constantly clear his throat. I'm about ready to slam some throat lozenges on his desk.

Having to hear people eat with their mouths open is quite grating. The squishy, saliva filled chewing sounds makes whatever they're eating seem unappetizing.

Even worse are the people who don't blow their noses. I can't stand the slurping sound of thick mucus back into their nostrils.

Be my guest. You just have to promise we can watch movies on my HDTV while you give me a back massage.
Deal?

I don't mind the sound, but the concept is just all wrong. Nail-clipping is grooming. Would you floss, brush your teeth, or trim your nose hair while sitting in your office? Yuck.

Nail clipping is quite an annoying sound indeed. However, what really toots my horn is when people crack their knuckles. I have two co-workers - on both sides of me - who not only crack a knuckle, but every damn knuckle in their hands and they both do it at least twice an hour.

I hate the fact that people clip them indoors as the clipped nails are flying everywhere, desk, floor, etc.. Nasty!!!

I personally go outside to clip mine as to not have them all over the place.

As for noises that I hate.. A vaccumn cleaner that is already switched on when you plug it in. Another is loud sneezing. Some people seem to think that the fact that they scream ahhh-choo @ 140db makes the process better. My Dad does this except when there are people around that he does not know & then its at a normal volume.

Seems like a lot of effort.

I just dangle my fingers or tootsies in the bathtub, clip away, then rinse

I clip mine over a trash can and never have pieces on the floor
but I'd never do it at work

I can't stand the sound of a blown up balloon being played with (no pun intended).
