Are you winning the war on cat hair?

I'm sure not! I dont remember my cat shedding this bad in February ever, its driving me nuts. Is it temperature or seasonal thing that makes them shed? Mine not even a long hair! I dont know how owners can deal with it sometimes. All over cloths, furnature, unwanted bookmarks and I spitting it out my mouth in morning! That's with cleaning 3 times day and brushing her too. I believe my cat thinks is May, not that I would not mind days abit warmer then 30.

I won the war when my two cats died last year.

I miss them, but I sure as hell don't miss all that friggin' hair.

I'm pretty lucky, my cat barely sheds at all. Just a little on the hands when I pet her. I think my hair is coming out more than hers.

My cat sheds a hell of a lot, but he's got very fine black hair so it's hard to see. I vaccum it up every so often and am constantly amazed at the amount of stuff in the vaccum afterwards.

Every so often I grab him and dunk him in the tub a few times to remove all the excess. He's not happy about that, but it works for a couple weeks or so.

Our cat has long fur, and she sheds like crazy. When we vacuum there's enough fur to make 2 new cats.

the war on cat hair is impossible to win, thankfully my carpet's the same color as my cat so it doesn't show much hair

I'm getting a damn Dyson vacuum to try and control the hair. Damn thing sheds more than my 2 German Shephards.

We have 2 black cats and a mostly black long haired dog at my house. We never win. We even got a robot for back up (roomba) but its no use. Just too much hair.

Ditto. The cat hair gets so thick that the Roomba fills up with cat hair and conks out until we empty it and that's only one or two rooms. Damn fur ball.

[obvious]

Sounds like a good excuse to ask the little wifey to shave her cat.

We have big packages of lint removers everywhere - home, work, the car, etc. It helps, but it doesn't solve the problem.

That's been my tactic as well. Nearly everything fabric/fiber I own doesn't clash with my cats much. All of my cats have been orange tabbies so I have had many beige carpets. And I don't wear black.

You can't win. Just learn to lose happily.

Nope. We have long haired, gray kitty. Dang thing constantly sheds clumps whereever he lays down. The Dyson Animal helps, but the hair tries to give it a tough time. I did have to shave the kitty (part of it) last week though! Had some matted hair on his back.

I married into two cats as well, but without the ultimatum. In fact, we added a third a few years ago but recently lost one of othe originals to stomach cancer.

The trick to good cats is to get them after you get the dog(s).
