Ouch. Staple in my thumb

My stapler won't stay snapped together properly so I was messing with it. Then all of a sudden I ended up with a staple in my thumb. Initially it didn't hurt but it's becoming a dull throbbing pain. Both prongs went in so that the cross piece was flush with my skin

Done that as a kid on purpose, when I didn't know pain. Of course, I was one that did feats of strength and would generally try to blow my fingers apart with little ladyfinger firecrackers.

Because now you're a sissy man, who can't handle pain?

Hell yeah.. besides, those lil ladyfingers now don't hurt as much, I'd have to try holding an M80.

I did that to one of my thumbs years ago also. Much to my surprise though, it didn't hurt at all, and I've never been able to figure out why. It went totally in, and I had to work with it to get it out, bending and turning the staple.
