The Official "I'm a nerd because..." thread

I'm a nerd because...

...all of my colored clothes are organized via ROYGBIV
...my dvds and cds are alphabetized and I agonize over whether to sort via genre AND alphabetize or not.

and you?

...I hate sports.
...my DVDs are organized by filmmaker (and not necessarily director).
...my girlfriend is funnier than me.
...I gave up cocaine.
...I posted to this thread.

..I own two laptops, and 2 desktop computers.
..I have a wireless cable modem connection, and have surfed the Internet
while on the toilet
..I have all the Star Trek movies and episodes on DVD (and know some
Klingon)
..I own a digital camera that is higher than 5 megapixels
..I have a DVD player in every computer, and one hooked to every TV in the
house, as well as a DVD-recorder
..I have Laserdisc player, and have the discs for the original Star Wars
trilogy, as well as "Robinson Crusoe on Mars"

And the most tell-tale sign of all...

..I don't have a girlfirend, and am still a virgin at 29 years old

I own you all.

Crap, just the title depresses me.

I read physics and cosmology books for "pleasure reading"
    I have a bat'leth on my wall
I have an autographed picture of The Three Amigos
I have a phone that is a replica of the Enterprise and the "red alert" is the ringer
I hack stuff, not because I want what it can do, but because I want to do it
I read and study video game stuff, but have less than 1 hour per week to play

And a few others that I will never admit to in public

whoa, i think this one wins, hands down. you probably end up terrifying the poor candidate, and have them thinking you are some big shot at the university.

I used a tech reference (3g) to remember GABA, Glycine, Glutamate were all amino acids...in addition to histamine. Everyone in my study group just looked at me. I also sang a song of the first letters of each of the 12 cranial nerves to my friend's voicemail. OOOTTAFVGVSH for those who care.

I post on here...AND other boards.

I have a bookshelf that is almost full of dictionaries.
I still have my old pocket protecter.
My house has a fireplace, and it still had the original logs in it five years later.
I read the Encyclopedia Britanica and Oxford English Dictionary for fun.

    - The classic: "All I think about are computers and sex" (Revenge of the Nerds)
    - I don't like to watch sports. My wife knows more about baseball and football than me.
    - The only night I'm not on the computer is Friday, because thats when all the sci-fi shows are on TV.
    - I have two desktop PCs and a laptop and have my house wired for gigabit ethernet as well as having a wireless access point.
