How quickly do you adjust to new glasses?

Day three here and I still having headaches and blured vision if things move too fast. I'm surely not in the one hour adjustment range that the vision center suggested. If I didnt go through this every few years when I get new glasses I would swear they messed up the prescription. How quick to you take to new lenses/glasses if you havent gone the contact route?

I guess that depends on how radical the prescription change is. I haven't had it change much more than one notch (for lack of an actual term) in years and I get used to it within a day.

Three days seems like a lot, was the prescription change a big one?

Yeah, day or two here or there --I remember getting a huge headache after switching prescription (and new heavier frame).

Always took longer for glasses (about a day). I wear contacts regularly now and the adjustment to them only takes a couple hours for me.

No longer than a week for me. I've worn glasses/contacts for over 25 years and go through this every 2 years or so. Heck, I'm overdue now.

I adjust best when I switch to new glasses first thing in the morning - trying to get used to new ones in the middle of the day gives me a headache, literally. They have screwed up before by making my new prescription too strong, and after a week of trying and still having headaches I went back in for a different prescription. Also, when I switched to high-index lenses my adjustment time increased (instead of a half-hour when I put them on first thing in the morning, it took half a day). At this point I'd have them checked - see if they screwed up in the manufacturing or if the prescription is wrong.

It usually takes me a day or two. New shoes, on the other hand, are a different story.
